Perched atop a prominent hillside in Fremont, this expansive 80,000-square-foot estate landscape is conceived as a private sanctuary of relaxed sophistication and timeless Mediterranean elegance. The design philosophy centers on creating an atmosphere of effortless luxury—a secluded retreat that harmonizes with its commanding natural setting while evoking the serene spirit of a coastal villa.
Responding sensitively to the site’s gentle 6-foot elevation change, the layout employs subtle grading and terracing rather than imposing structural walls. This approach preserves the land’s natural flow, ensuring the landscape feels organically woven into the hillside. Sweeping lawns provide open, contemplative spaces, while a reflective mirror pool captures the vast California sky, amplifying the sense of tranquility and light.
Meandering gravel pathways guide exploration through distinct yet fluid garden rooms.
